restaurant conversion in heritage building

full architectural service to completion

winchester, hampshire

with mackenzie wheeler architects

working for celebrity chef hugh fearnley-whittingstall’s sustainability focused restaurant brand, we transformed a grade II listed watermill into a dramatic variety of dining spaces.  structural work was extensive, opening up new sight-lines through the beautiful time-worn fabric of the mill.  table lighting is provided through a carefully designed web of rope lights that weave through structure.

responsible resourcing of all construction materials was a core element of the brief.
